A contractor must complete WindowBid’s review and meet its eligibility requirements before receiving bid invitations. You can also review their profile, project photos, and available customer reviews when comparing quotes.
Do I need to meet several contractors to get prices?
The app lets contractors prepare quotes from your shared project package, so you can compare pricing before arranging a visit. Your selected contractor confirms final field measurements before ordering and agrees on the work schedule with you.
Where will WindowBid be available?
We’re preparing to launch in selected areas of New York and New Jersey. Project availability depends on contractor coverage. We’ll expand locally as the contractor network grows.
Do I have to wait for three quotes?
No. You can view a quote as soon as it arrives and choose a suitable contractor without waiting for all three. Some areas or projects may receive fewer quotes.
Are my measurements the final order sizes?
No. Your photos and approximate measurements help contractors prepare a quote. Your selected contractor checks final field measurements before ordering.
Can I use WindowBid for repairs?
Yes. The app includes window, door, and glass repairs. Describe the problem and add clear photos so contractors can understand the scope.
What happens after I choose a quote?
The contractor reviews and accepts the award. Once it is activated, contact details and next steps become available. Review the written contract and arrange the visit directly with your contractor. Any project deposit is paid directly to the contractor under that contract.
